Goals: -To apply knowledge of math and science to the understanding of electrical circuits operations. -To design and conduct experiment as well as to analyze and interpret data. -To provide practical experience with electronic devices and circuits -To interface a device to a Microcontroller. -To design digital filters. -To
work in teams, express thoughts orally and share the workload. -To
write lab reports explaining the procedure and the results of the
experiment. Course
Objectives: Students
should be able to -Test FET using an ohmmeter. -Obtain FET characteristics using point-by-point method and the oscilloscope as a curve tracer and design a simple CS amplifier and measure signal amplification of CS amplifier. -Design, build and test three different CE biasing circuits. -Measure gains and input resistances of CE and EF amplifiers. -Interface a Stepper to a Microcontroller. -Interface a Display to a Microcontroller. -Interface a Keyboard to a Microcontroller. -Design, build and test Phase Shift, Wien Bridge, Crystal and Square Wave oscillators. -Build and test push-pull power amplifiers. -Understand the operating principles of a digital spectrum analyzer. -Design digital low pass, band pass and notch filters -Design an experiment. -Collect data and analyze and interpret data. -Work in teams, express thoughts orally and share the workload. -Keep records of your experiments on professional notebook. -Write
lab reports explaining the procedure and the results of the experiment.
