Computer-Aided Analysis and Design.  Basic treatment of discrete-event computer simulation.  Mathematical and statistical models used in computer aided design, discrete and continuous distributions,  Poisson processes.  Queuing models, analysis and applications.  Random number generators,  properties of random and pseudo-random numbers.  Verification and validation of simulation models, output data  analysis.  Simulation and its impact on design.  Three lectures.  (Cr.3)
