MISSION
STATEMENT
The
mission of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering programs is to
foster in each student ability and enthusiasm to work wisely, creatively, and
effectively for the betterment of humankind, thereby promoting future success in
the profession. Central to the programs are certain principles, including
the importance of collaboration, the discovery and sharing of knowledge, the
appreciation of ethical, safety and economic concerns, and the need for
life-long learning and advanced study.
PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES

mission of the Electrical Engineering and the Computer Engineering
programs requires the attainment of specific objectives. These are:
-
To
provide students with fundamental knowledge of the physical sciences,
mathematics, and engineering sciences.
-
to graduate engineers who are
proficient in the use of tools of the profession including laboratory
skills, modeling and analysis, and computers;
-
to
develop critical thinking abilities in analyzing problems,
gathering information and extending knowledge to the solution of new
problems;
-
to
provide experience in the solution of open-ended design
problems and in working effectively on multi-disciplinary teams;
-
to
enhance proficiency in oral and written communications and in technical
presentations;
-
to
foster an appreciation of the interplay of technology, economics,
