406. Thermal Science Laboratory.  Application and verification of principles of heat transfer and power generation.  Preparation of technical reports.  Three-hour laboratory.  Fall  (1 Credit) 

Prerequisites: MECH 302, 325.

 

Course Objectives:

 

The student will be able to:

  • Perform experimental procedures to verify principles of heat transfer, power generation, energy conservation.

  • Conduct experiment to obtain valid data.

  • Analyze experimental data to quantitatively evaluate the system.

  • Interpret experimental data to assess system performance.

  • Analyze errors and limitations of experiments.

  • Prepare the report, technical writing skills and presentation.
