429. Design of HVAC.  Analysis and synthesis of  HVAC piping, duct work, filtration, controls, heating and refrigeration equipment.  Selection of individual components and complete system design. 3 Lectures (3 credits)

Prerequisites: MECH 425

Course Objectives:

 

The student will be able to:

  • Design piping and duct systems.

  • Select pumps and fans.

  • Design placement of inlet and return grills.

  • Select heat exchangers.

  • Design refrigeration systems.
