Raymond Hodge graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1944.  From 1946 to 1951 he was at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, first as a graduate student earning a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering in 1948, then as an Assistant Professor of Engineering.

Mr. Hodge joined Tippetts-Abbett-McCarthy-Stratton (TAMS) in 1953, where he remained until his retirement in 1988 as Corporate Vice President and Director of TAMS Consultants, Inc.  He was a partner in the firm for twenty of those years.

In 1983 Mr. Hodge was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.  He was cited for significant contributions to the advancement of transportation systems technology particularly the Mount Newman iron ore project in northwest Australia and the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.  Mr. Hodge passed away October 27th, 1990.
