Eugene McGrath graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1963.  In 1980, he received an MBA from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. He also has an Advanced Diploma from Harvard University.

Mr. McGrath is a Trustee of Manhattan College. He also serves on the Boards of: American Museum of Natural History, New York Chamber of Commerce, New York State Power Authority Nuclear Management {Executive Committee}, New York City Partnership, Bronx Zoo {Wildlife Conservation}, The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Atlantic Mutual Insurance.

In 1991 Mr. McGrath was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.  He was cited for significant technical contributions to electric power systems in the areas of power plant efficiency and safety, information systems, robotics, and engineering management.
