Thomas Romesser graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics in 1971.  In earned the Master's degree and the Ph.D. from the University of Iowa.  He is also a graduate of the University of Southern California Executive Management Program.

Dr. Romesser is Vice President of Technology Development for Northrop Grumman Space Technology.  He leads an organization responsible for the identification, development, and acquisition of Space Technology's strategic technologies and manages discretionary investments in technology and product development.  He oversees a wide area of technology development ranging from exploration of future markets and technologies to the capture and execution of contracts that continue to strengthen its place in the competitive field of global defense.  In this key role, Dr. Romesser serves as the Space Technology's senior spokesman on all technology matters.

In 2003, Dr. Romesser was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.  He was cited for pioneering contributions to high-power laser technology and isotope separation.
